Like a baby bird
A small nest in the heart of the city for children

Buildner – KINDERSPACE #2
In today’s cities, once alive with human interaction, the urban landscape is becoming more sterile more like a graveyard of concrete than a place to live and grow. In this dense and overwhelming environment, kindergartens spaces meant to nurture curiosity too often constrain it. Designed like miniature offices or boxes, they suppress rather than support children’s imagination. This project begins with a counter-proposal: to offer children a forest not at the city’s edge, but at its center. Inspired by the image of a baby bird taking its first leap from the nest, the design envisions a kindergarten that feels like a soft cradle in the midst of the city. It is a space where children can breathe, play freely, and connect with nature and community alike. Here, the goal is not just safety and functionality, but emotional richness a place that invites growth through freedom, sensory exploration, and joy.
